The VLC-83V/W utilises a 1/4” CMOS image sensor with a 4.0mm F2.0 lens and has a maximum resolution of  640X480 pixels. It has RJ45 connection for LAN connection to a p.c. a router or the Internet. It can record on movement directly onto an onboard SD card (which can be up to 4 Gb - around 2000 clips) and so eliminates the need for a DVR or for the p.c. to be permanently switched on.

When connected to a router, via cable or wireless, it can email up to two user defined addresses and send a 15 second video clip of the incident starting 5 seconds before the detection. In this configuration the VLC-83V can also be viewed from an remote site via the Internet. The two way audio facility allows the environment to be heard remotely and facilitates two way communications.

This is a significantly bigger picture than the VLC-83V. It has RJ45 connection for LAN connection to a p.c. a router or the Internet. It utilises a 1/3” CCD image sensor which gives a clear sharp image combined with low light sensitivity. Its varifocal lens can be set from 3.7 to 12 mm with auto iris and has a maximum resolution of  720X576 pixels. It has RJ45 connection for LAN connection to a p.c. a router or the Internet. It can record on movement directly onto an onboard SD card (which can be up to 4 Gb - around 2000 clips) and so eliminates the need for a DVR or for the p.c. to be permanently switched on.
